Do SIM cards come activated?

Your SIM card will be shipped inactive. Once you receive your sim, visit the activation page to initiate your service.

How do I activate my SIM?

Once you receive your new SIM card, contact us when you are ready for your card to be activated. Activation requests can be made 24 hours per day, 7 days per week via the SIM Activation Page.

How long does it take to activate my SIM?

SIM activations can typically be done within 2 business days, Monday thru Friday, during normal business hours. Activation details, including your Iridium phone number and expiry date, will be forwarded by email once your SIM is active. A free text message will also be sent to your phone.

How do I add more minutes to my sat phone?

Adding more minutes to your SIM card is quick and easy. You can top up your SIM online in minutes.

How is this SIM shipped?

We offer free shipping anywhere in the world on all Iridium SIM cards. Free shipping is by standard first class mail and does not offer tracking information. We also offer Express Economy and Overnight Delivery.

How do I know how many minutes i use?

To check your Iridium Prepaid SIM airtime balance anytime, free of charge:

1. Press 2888 on your Iridium satellite phone
2. Press the Green 'SEND' button
3. The automated service will announce your remaining airtime and validity.

Note: phone must be registered to the Iridium network to check airtime balance and expiry.

Also, every time you make a call, a recorded message will tell you how many minutes are available.

What happens if I run out of minutes?

Your service will no longer work. Additional minutes can be purchased online, or by contacting us.

Can i change regions (ex. Northern Lights to Global) on an existing SIM?

Yes you can, however the minutes do not carry over.
